Mens DII Crit (80 registrants/starters?)

I'll probably type up a nicer race report/season wrap-up later this week but until then here's a synopsis: Overall the weekend was awesome. Great courses (at least I thought so as they were pretty flat, fast and wide), great racing, great times. I didn't really know what to expect heading out there so I didn't set my expectations too high. Once out there and racing I realized that both courses were easier than most of the ECCC races this season and the competition from the other conferences seemed softer than what I expected, at least in DII. The crit course was perhaps the fastest course I've ever raced on - very comparable to Memorial Hall. The road race was basically a steep hill right at the beginning followed by a few miles of intermediate hills followed by 4 laps on a generally flat circuit course (with 25 mph winds). One side of the course you were cruising at roughly 40 mph, the other side around 10mph. I'd highly recommend going as a team next year and representing Drexel. That means the time to start training and getting more racing experience is now. I don't see why anyone on the team currently who has raced couldn't go next year if they train hard and consistently going into next season. I was a C/D rider with no racing experience at the beginning of last year and I made it in so there's no reason any of you can't do the same. Plus, with a complete team of riders out there you can compete on Friday as a wicked TTT team which would help with overall Team Omnium placings, not to mention getting an extra day of racing in.
